Church on Sundays

When and Where

In these turbulent times, Redemption Church has had to make the difficult decision to meet online only.  We will meet via zoom on Sundays for zoomCHURCH@5, initially at 5pm only until Easter 2020, then we will reassess how things are going.

We will also continue our regular prayer meetings at 7am and 10am on Wednesday mornings, and our bible study groups on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at 7:30pm and Friday morning at 10am.  Contact us for the details of the meeting ID to come and join us.

Please contact us and let our Senior Pastor Matt Greenwood know if there is any way we can assist you in prayer or in practical ways during the COVID-19 outbreak by email, or to get the zoom link to come and join us online – we’d love to meet (well, see!) you there.

When we can, we will return to meeting at Mount Claremont Community Centre which is located:

107 Montgomery Avenue
Mount Claremont WA 6010

What to Expect

With the COVID-19 restrictions on meeting together in person, we have changed things in terms of how we meet but not why we meet – we still meet regularly to gather around God’s Word, to read it and hear it taught, faithfully and clearly.

We will be meeting via zoom, and for the meeting ID contact our Senior Pastor, Matt Greenwood.  We will be holding our regular Sunday service, as well as prayer meetings and Bible study during the week – just online!

The main objective of our Sunday church services is to edify ie. “build up” and encourage one another and our visitors for the purpose of doing Christian ministry.  We aim to be disciples of Jesus who in turn make disciples of Jesus.  Therefore our main focus each Sunday is the teaching of the Bible as well as songs, prayer and fellowship centred on the truths found in God’s word.  The ordinary format of our services will usually include:

  • Songs and Music (Approx 15 Mins Total)
  • Prayers (Approx 5 Mins)
  • Bible Teaching Talk (Approx 30 Mins)
  • Fellowship over Morning Tea/Supper and Dinner for the Children (Approx 30 Mins)

What About My Kids?

Until we can start meeting together in person, unfortunately we can’t offer a separate kids’ programme.  We can however put you in touch with some fantastic online resources for your kids – just contact us and we’ll let you know where to find them (even new stuff by Colin Buchanan!).

On Sunday the children in our church will usually attend crèche, “Kids Church” or youth group, which includes activities and bible teaching aimed at familiarising and instructing them in the truths of the bible at a level they can understand.  We have three groups depending on the age of your children:

  • Creche: For Young Children Up to 6 Years (Available 9AM and 5PM)
  • Primary School: For Young Children Up to Year 6/7 (5PM Church ONLY)
  • Youth Group: For Teenagers Year 7+ (5PM Church ONLY)
